We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Tech Lead to join our dynamic team in Bangalore. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in the MERN stack, with at least 5-6 years of hands-on experience. As a Tech Lead, you'll be responsible for leading the development and delivery of high-quality web applications. Your primary focus will be on developing user interface components and implementing them following well-known React.js workflows (such as Flux or Redux). Additionally, you'll be expected to ensure that these components and the overall application are robust and easy to maintain. You will coordinate with other team members, including front-end developers and product managers. Therefore, a commitment to collaborative problem solving, sophisticated design, and quality product is essential. Expertise in JavaScript and its nuances, including ES6+ syntax, is critical. Experience with Node.js and Express on the back-end, along with MongoDB as the database, is required. Familiarity with newer specifications of EcmaScript, data structure libraries (e.g., Immutable.js), and modern authorization mechanisms (such as JSON Web Tokens) are also necessary. Strong proficiency in front-end technologies, including HTML5, CSS3, and modern build pipelines and tools, are important qualifications for this position. Experience with common front-end development tools such as Babel, Webpack, NPM, etc., is expected. The successful candidate must be comfortable working in an Agile/Scrum development process, have a knack for benchmarking and optimization, and possess excellent leadership and communication skills.

Responsibilities

Lead and mentor a team of developers in the MERN stack environment, ensuring project milestones and deadlines are met.
Design and develop scalable, maintainable, and high-performance web applications.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features and services.
Maintain code quality, organization, and automatization, while also implementing security and data protection measures.

Requirements

5-6 years of experience in developing web applications using MongoDB, Express.js, React.js, and Node.js.
Strong coding skills with proficiency in JavaScript and understanding of asynchronous request handling, partial page updates, and AJAX.
Experience with user authentication and authorization between multiple systems, servers, and environments.
Understanding of fundamental design principles behind a scalable application and microservices architecture.
Ability to integrate multiple data sources and databases into one system and create database schemas that represent and support business processes.

Bonus Points

Experience with containerization and orchestration technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
Familiarity with front-end build tools, such as Webpack, NPM scripts.
Knowledge of code versioning tools like Git and continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines.
